In FTTH ODN network, Fiber Splicing, Termination and Protection are very important to Telecom operators, especially in last 1 mile.

By summarizing the FTTH deployment experience in China and other countries, 3M concludes some basic principles based on Mechanical Splicing Technologies, which should be followed in physical layer construction.
