Abstract
PMC-Sierra, the industry's only supplier that supports both EPON (IEEE 802.3ah Ethernet in the First Mile) and GPON (ITU-T G.984) standards, will present an EPON development roadmap, providing an insightful resource for Chinese carriers and market players focused on EPON. In the first part of this presentation, PMC-Sierra will share in-depth information about the company's market leading EPON products with over 6 million EPON solutions currently deployed. PMC-Sierra will also discuss the key technologies that are critical to mass deployment. The presentation will also address the next generation EPON technology --10G EPON and discuss its technological advantages and how it will impact the market.

Speaker Biography
Gilad Aloni is the EPON Product Line Manager in the FTTH Division of PMC-Sierra (Nasdaq:PMCS). Gilad joined PMC-Sierra as part of the Passave acquisition in 2006. Prior to joining Passave, he held various marketing positions in Conexant’s access division with a focus on ADSL and Residential Gateways. Gilad brings with him more than 13 years experience in the access area including participation in international standardization groups, system engineering and development. Gilad holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering from Technion, Israel and an MBA from UCLA.<back>
