Speaker: Dr Fabian Hess, Head of Regional
Product Management, Broadband Access & IP
Transport, Solution Sales Management, Nokia
Siemens Networks Greater China
Abstract
Carrier network architectures have fundamentally
changed and continue to change particularly due
to the explosive growth of new services and
traffic. IP services, consumer entertainment
services, mobile backhaul applications, and
Business Ethernet services are providing the
impetus for Service Providers to explore new
ways of optimizing Total Cost of Ownership while
maintaining network simplicity. In addition,
Service Providers must ensure that the network
architecture adopted is able to meet the
business objectives of the company.
Multilayer Network Optimization is a new way to
tune networks that digs into every corner of the
infrastructure and its operations. Cost savings
of more then 30% can be gained, not to mention
significant performance boosts.
