Welcome Message

It gives me pleasure to welcome you to the nation's premier optical networking conference - OptiNet China 2007. Since 2001 this extraordinary event has brought together leading optical communication specialists, engineers and business executives to explore the frontiers of technology and the challenges facing the industry.

Over the past six years, many important, thought-provoking optical networking topics have been addressed. Recent technical sessions covered ROADM; advanced amplification and monitoring; optical/IP integration; SFPs; widely tunable lasers; semiconductor optical amps (SOAs); wavelength selective switches; Gigabit Ethernet; photonic integrated circuits; OTN (G.709); managed CWDM; hybrid packet and cross connect fabrics; automated power monitoring; intelligent Ethernet services; WDM and data aware Sonet/SDH in the metro and core network; PON/FTTP; plus much more.

The upcoming OptiNet China 2007 Conference will be held at State Guest Hotel on June 13-14, 2007. A two-day schedule will include keynotes representing the leading edge of the optical networking and communication industry, panel discussions, and more than a dozen technical, state-of-the-art sessions addressing the important aspects of optical networking. Attendance is anticipated to continue growing as well - last year's event drew more than 500 attendees from around the country. I look forward to meeting you in Beijing.

Sincerely,
Wei Leping
Chairman
OptiNet China 2007
CTO, China Telecom

For the last 16 years optical networks has been the backbone for China's telecom services. Today as telcos get ready to offer a range of next generation services--from triple play and Ethernet services to wavelength services and business continuity, new optical technologies are once again taking center stage. A look at these latest cutting edge optical technologies and how carriers can use them for enabling new services along with greater efficiencies for the long haul, metropolitan and distribution networks will be the focus of the 7th annual OptiNet China Conference in Beijing.

OptiNet China will provide those who need to learn about innovations in optical communications as it takes root in the carrier environment and marketplace. The conference will also provide the business, strategic, technical and market information that your organization needs to evaluate optical technologies, select vendors and deploy solutions.
